Check Engine light come on only at 60mph
I have a '95 A6Q wagon, automatic trans. When ever I drive over 60mph for more than 5 min the check engine light comes on. As soon as i turn the car off and restart the light is off. I have tried reving the engine for several min in park and never had the light come on. Any ideas of what this could be?

Sounds like EGR passege to me too; but pull the codes to be sure.
If you can't pull the codes there is no way you'll get the EGR unclogged; it's a pretty involved procedure. The instrutions can be found on the forum.

What happens if the EGR is clogged? I have had my normal mechanic try to pull codes before and nothing came up, but he did turn the car off before checking them (check engine light was off when he checked). Can you hook it up to a code reader while the engine is running? (it is the older 2 wire style, not OBD-II).
