Ck engine light with no codes
Hello all,
First, I want to say what great forum this is!
Anyway, I recently purchased a 1996 A6 sedan,(my 3rd Audi) and it runs perfectly. Yet I have a check engine light but no trouble codes. I checked for codes with a generic OBD II scan tool, (have not bought the package from Ross yet). It did say the check engine light should be on. My question is will the Service Reminder trip the check engine light? I am at Int.2 (another reason to get the Ross tool) or is it more likely there is a transmission fault turning the light on? The trans seems to be performing perfectly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
