4N 4RING

I replaced the heater core years ago and, when I cleaned the flaps motors, the fan brushes, etc., so I know how to do it. However, the fan started to fail, it gets stuck, does not rotate at max speed, makes noise, etc. I have a spare car I can take the fan (and all the climate control).
Q: can I replace the fan with minimal work inside of the car? I mean only from the engine compartment. BTW, the CC is digital.
