Coolant bleeding advice needed, again

Default Re: These can be really tough to bleed.

What about using a vacuum bleeder? ie. Where you apply a vacuum at the tank and connect a hose to suck the new coolant out of the bottle into the system. Does the thermostat have a bypass?

Vacuum won't work. You need the engine at operating temp, water pump pumping hard, t-stat open

On my 3.0, v6, having the car facing downhill seemed help. Squeezing the top radiator hose. One guy said jack the driver side up so the resivoir was higher.
