I have a 1995 Audi A-6 and I am having trouble with the directional vents. I have the climate control in the car but when I hit the button for the air to go on the floor or on the windshield nothing happens. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it. I have worked on many parts of Audi's but I have never had to get into the vents so I will need all the help I can get. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Does it only direct the air through the dash vents? I've never looked into this area before but I would imagine that the controls for the vents would be vacuum controlled/soleniod controlled. Fuses ok? Was anywork done to it recently?

It only directs air through the dash vents. If it is vaccum/soleniod controlled where or how would I go about checking this? The fuses as far as I can tell are all ok. That was one of my first thoughts too. There has not been any work done to it recently, it is just all of a sudden stopped working.

Any other ideas?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/40588/vag02cbb.1.jpg"></center><p>I believe that control soleniods and flap is in the between the fire wall and windshield cowling. Check the levers, vac lines and motors there.

Do you have a key for what all these numbers are pointing to? If so that would be great. If not I will try my best to figure it out.

Also will I need to access this from the inside of the car or the outside?
