Default Door trim broken and falling, okay to cut off?

This piece broke and now hangs off and looks pretty bad. Just wondering if it's important or not. I could try gluing it back on I guess.

Thanks

Default Won't hurt to take it off.

it's just going to look weird (already does) and there might be more wind noise.

Oh, okay. Maybe it is common. I may have called it the wrong thing. It lies underneath the door and isn't actually attached to the door. In fact, I just fold it inside the car when I'm driving. lol
