Driver side wiper problem.....

Driver side wiper is not cleaning well. I've noticed that the arm is shaped differently to the passenger side. One arm is fairly strait and the other has a crooked shape. Which arm goes on which side?
The one currently on the driver side has the crooked shape. The spring is strong but the arm seems to reach a stop point before applying pressure to the wiper. If I remove the wiper blade the arm does not touch the windscreen. It stops about an inch above the glass.
Windscreen was replaced recently and I'm wondering if the wiper arms were mixed up and refitted to the wrong side.

My driver's wiper arm also has a wind deflector on the lower edge of the wiper. DOes yours have that? If the wiper arm minus the wiper blade doesn't touch the windshield, then there is something wrong. Is the wiper arm properly engaed on the wiper shaft? If it isn't properly mounted on the spline shaft, it could affect the wiper arm. Since you just had your windshield replace, I'd suspect that (especially if you didn't have this problem before the replacement).
