Default The instrument cluster bulbs are 1/2-turn twist types that have orange bases...

The standard background illumination bulbs are 1.1 watt bulbs (IIRC, there are (9) of these), but you can use a slightly larger wattage bulb, such as 1.2 watt to replace the OEM size. Others here have used 2.0 watts, but I think those are too powerfull as they will draw a lot more current, which may cause other electrical problems. The solder-in bulbs are Radio Shack #272-1092 (#7219) Mirco Lamps, come 2 per package.

ok so you're saying that i need two 1.1(or 1.2) watt bulbs too replace the two that are out in my dash gauges, and for the outside temperature gauge i need the part# 272-1092 solder in bulbs, but this might be a stupid question but what gives them the red color if they're clear bulbs, is there a red screen or something in front of them?

thanks again
