Default EGR cleaning ?: I think I have everything needed to do this but the crow's foot socket

can I do this without it or is it a necessity? I have had my TB off before so I guess my main obstacle is removing the EGR valve. And yes, I do have the procedure printed out.

Default You can do without the crows foot...

if you don't mind taking out the whole intake manifold

It's not to much more work and it will make the cleaning part easier. You do have to order a couple more gaskets for the intake manifold if you take it off. I don't think you'll be able to remove the EGR valve without the crows foot.

Is this something Sears carries? Expensive?

Maybe around $5 from sears? 7/8" or 22mm will both work.

7/8 flare nut wrench worked fine for me. Cheap Autozone purchase.

I use a 7/8" crows foot and take the EGR pipe off at the exhaust manifold

Default I like a 10mm wobbly, 12" 1/4 drive extension and 1/4 drive ratchet for removing the 2 EGR bolts

Allows you to get away from the mess there, and get to those bolts easily.
