My low coolant/high temperature warning light comes on intermittantly then goes off after a few miles.Coolant is OK and temp is normal.Did have a coolant res leak that was causing this when coolant was low but have replaced the tank and now level is correct. Thanks,Ron

There's a symbol for coolant level and a seperate one for overheat right?
Maybe the coolant temp switch in that pipe on the back side of the cylinder head/block is bad or the connector has gotten corroded inside?

Push that left button that sticks out of the instrument cluster. That will activate the auto check
Then you can see all the symbols. Seems like the low coolant one is different from the over heat one.

I had this happen recently. My thermostat was stuck - no circulation. The temp gauges oil & water were fine. The warning light came on though after about 25-30 min of driving though.

It is warning for high temp or low coolant.Temp is normal and coolant is OK.Drove the car Sat and light came on for about 6 miles and then went out and never came on again. When it came on temp gauge was OK.Drove 250 miles with no problem,Have to assume I don't have a cooling problem.Ron
