I have read the post on this subject, but I can't find the high side to add the freon. I found the low side under the car, but I don't think the clamp is going over the vavle properly. I am using r-134. Can some one shed some light on this one.

it is on the condensor, in front of the radiator. The port on the back of the compressor is not used. You need a machine to recharge the a/c.

according to the manual..
my 93 100 has high and low
my 96 a6 has high only.

I have a 95 A6. so you are saying that the high side is the only place to recharge the freon on my model car?

Were you able to find the high side to add the freon?. I have a 96 A6 Quattro and have the same problem, can't find where to add the freon
