Default Head bolts

Anyone know where I can purchase head bolts for my 1992 100? (2.8l 12v) The dealer wants $10 a bolt. I am in the middle of replacing the head gaskets and was hoping not to break the bank.

i opologize for saying this,i really dont mean to mess up your deal, but from audi specs they say the bolts must be replaced because they are stretch bolts. a design only meant to be used once. if you use these type of bolts again they will be improperly torquing down on the head, resulting in problems down the road. but im sorry, as expensive as those things are, you should replace them with new ones.

Default they can be re-used but use slightly different torque specs

search here for the specs to re-use them, I know I had posted them about 2 years ago when I did mine, some thing like after the initial torque, then you go 1/4 turn and maybe 1/8 after, where the original spec was like 1/2 turn.

yeah thats also an option. if you are comfortable with it. but any head bolts with even slightly messed up heads, i wouldnt use again.
but heres another problem: say you hadnt had the car ever since it was manufactured, like your are the second owner. in some cases you just cant be 100% sure if the head gasket was done before. and if it has, you are not absolutely 100% sure if they are the reused bolts. unless you know absolutely 100% that the headgasket was never touched and those bolts were never touched either.

yes it is an option to reuse the bolts. but under the circumstances that you know 100% what the actual bolts went through in its entire life in that engine.
so. the advantage of new bolts is you do know 100% the bolts are sealed and brand new. no head wear. and you know for a fact what the torque and tightening settings are.
haha im not a head bolt salesmannot trying to sell you out to painfully spending about $70 on frikin bolts. just want you to know head bolts are indeed a sensitive subject.and p.s. stretch bolts are a pain!
