94 100s. how do i check transmission fluid? there's no dipstick, just a cap. how many qts should be in it?

....a Bentley manual for the procedure. I believe you need to jack up the car (level), with the fluid at the correct temp, and remove a drain plug. If fluid comes out, the level is OK.

vehicle has to be at operating temp to check while VAG tool is hooked up. When checking trans fluid via VAG com the trans temp has to be between 35celcius-48celcius as of what I last remebered. Also the fluid will not be able to be flushed untill operating temp b/c when it gets to operating temp it (drips out) and that is how it is drained/emptied. I would leave it up to techs unless you know and have the tools to do it since trans problems can occur if done wrong and that could be costly IMHO. Trans holds 5.3quarts
Was at dealership a couple of days ago to see my buddy sam(audi tech) and watched another tech (asked him the questions too) flush a trans from a 30valve. I keep forgetting the other techs names but they all know my name. They were not busy when I was there (very rare) and the service manager doesn't care if I back in the bay area so long as he doesn't see me directly under the vehicle that is lifted(liability reasons) but yeah know most of the employees there so it don't matter.
