How do I properly bleed the brakes with a hand-held vacuum pump? Do I need to bleed, then drive, then bleed again? Or can I run the car while bleeding so that the ABS pump goes?
And don't say, "get a pressure bleeder" because I'll bust out a can of whoop-***; really, as in the drink, whoop-***... oh nevermind. I'm working on building a pressure bleeder like MikTip has or Beep-Beep or someone, I can't remember.

use bolster to remove as match of old fluid from the tank, as you can. Top it of with new fluid. Anscrew vent and suck the fluid until it will be clean and then a litle bit more. Close vent. Top the tank. Repeat on other wheels.
Optional (not really necesary):
Drive car, active ABS by treshhold braking, repeat procedure for every wheel.
IHMO it is more important to do not let air in, then to bleed though the ABS.

When you release brake, the fluid is sucked from the caliper
and if vent is open, you will get air right back.
Evant if replace the master cilinder, I do not see, how air got to the ABS. Most likely regular bleeding will remove all air from the system. There is not need to do special things about ABS.
