Default How do I remove instrument cluster, pls?

I need to replace my ignition switch and understand I need to remove the cluster to do it. This is a 1994 100S automatic. How do I get the cluster out, pls?

Default There are several instructions/guides on the 100/A6 FQAs. Check the link...

Just remember to place a towel over your plastic steering wheel console cover to prevent scratching it by the IC.

IC Removal Guide

Thank you! I searched this site several times using 'instrument cluster', 'cluster removal', etc and never found that!!!!!!!!!! Didin't occur to me to search on 'IC'!

Default Search doesn't work...

I'm not surprised you didn't find anything. You should find several posts about instrument lamp replacement. The Audiworld search function has been broken for a long time. I just searched for "instrument panel lamps", the exact words in the posted procedure and came up with "0" hits.

Default I have noticed the "lackluster search" too...

Recently, searching for even the most common things seems to yield little or no results. Now that I think about it, it seems it has been doing this for a while... Oh well...

Great! Thanks. If I add "a6100", I get just this forum. Excellent.
