I assume the muffled beep heard from the rear of the car when locking all the doors is the alarm activating. What do you have to do to make it go off? How loud is it? How does one silence it? Thanks,
Rokas

I have a '94 100s and I believe that the only way the alarm will go off is if someone breaks a window.
I've never had the opportunity to try it out, so I've no idea what it sounds like.

I think you can wind down the back door window and then armed the vehicle by locking the door. Then unlock the back door and open/close it. It should set off the alarm. Unlock the door with the key will silence the alarm. It's not very loud, it like you honking the horn every second

The alarm goes off if the doors, trunk, or hood are opened by anything other than the key or remote.
You can test it by rolling down a window, arm the alarm, wait 30 sec or more to be safe, and then reach in the open window & pull up the door lock. This will activate the alarm, and flash the corner marker lights.
While the alarm is not very loud or high tech, when activated it does dissable the ignition which I think is the most important part.
