i have a bigggg subwoofer box to put in trunk of 94...what's the best way to stabilize it? just put hooks in floor and put a "tie cord" over it to keep it from moving???

If it has carpet then I don't think that you will have much trouble with it moving. I had a BIG sub box too in my '95. It did not have carpet (didn't keep it that long) so it was just ply-wood. It didn't move at all, too heavy.
