i brought this car in a non-running state. I guess that was my mistake. anyway, i cranked up the car and i cant get spark. i read the fault codes and it comes up 2113 ( cam sensor ). i buy a cam sensor and install it. the car still wont give any spark to the spark plugs. i redo the fault codes and it come up 4444 which means no codes. im at a stand still right now. i hate replacing parts with no reason ( it like shooting in the dark ). i know the car wont give any spark if the outpage stage, the computer , or the crak sensors are not working. is there anyway to test these things if there bad before i buy?

The crankshaft sensor is used to determine when the engines number 1 cylinder is approaching TDC. It is used by the ECU to start the sequence of firing the fuel injectors in correct order. Spray starting fluid into the air box and try to start the engine. If it starts then the crankshaft sensor needs to be replaced. Usually if the sensor is bad then there is a fault code.
Spraying starting fluid into the airbox will bypass the crankshaft sensor.

Starting fluid will not make a car start with no spark. Since I can not be there I'm assuming that there is a spark and that the injectors are not firing properly. The symptom of a bad cranksaft sensor is that the car will cranks, but never start or even try to start, it will just crank and crank. Once the car starts then the ECU takes over and the crankshaft sensor is no longer needed.

Check your wiring, Primary coil connector (white) and the Crank Position sensor connector (gray) are they in the right place?
Crank and cam sensor must be in sync in order for the ECU to produce a spark.
