Does anyone know the firing order for 1995 A6Q. I was changing my spark plugs and I notice the order does not go in seqeunce, for example one side is 1-2-3 and the other went 5-4-6. Is that how these engine run? I didn't try to change the order because the engine ran fine like this before, you no what the say " don't fix something that is not broke". Please advise.

firing order governed by the design of the crank and on a 90°V it is often something like 143526. I do know that straight six's are often 153624.
The order on an in-line engine is governed by the aim to obtain the least stress of the crank and greatest smoothness but in V the order is governed by the need for opposote cylinder to share the same journal on the crankshaft. This is why V's are not as smooth as straight six's.

the layout. In-line engines also produce greater torque at lower RPMs than V engines (max torque occurs at ~1/2 of the V engine max torque RPMs) since they can have a longer stroke.
