Default Interior lights not turning off, no beep when locking...

So the interior lights in my A6 wont turn off. When I click the lock button on the remote the lights flash but no beep. If I am inside the car, and I lock it, I can just stick the key in the ignition and start it up- that does not seem right.

Anyone have any idea what this could be. I have ruled out door switches for the most part.

Default Some switches only have a plug on one of the spade contacts...

So the connection on that switch might be okay. However, the switch should have a square plastic plunger with a rubber boot over it. Without a plunger, the car thinks the door is always open.

After you close the door and turn on the ignition, does the chime sound for 60 seconds? That's a symptom of a bad driver's door switch.
