Default Its tire time again whats the biggest i can go on the stock 16"
I originally had the 15's but i got the 96 16 on. The car has eibach springs. Can i go any bigger then 205.. i know i rub with 225.. has anyone tried 215? thanks

Hm, people said, that you can do it with 225... Anybody to confirm?

I already had 225's on and they rubbed (only got 9k miles) when they were shot

I have 225's and no rubbing. I have a wagon though.

Stock springs, 225/50/16's no rubbing, not sure if i lower it but it better not rub then!

Damn that what i had and i rubbed.. before i lowered it! Did they change somehting between 95 and 96

Default Not all 225/50/R16 tires are the same size.
Look at www.tirerack.com under specs and note the sectional width and tread width.

example of my tires:
205/55/R16 goodyear RSA 8.4 7.3
205/55/R16 Dunlop M2 8.4 7.1(I think it is really narrower than this)

May be you used rims with different offset or different brands 225 tires have different width
