Default kind of both..i think

i know this question is kind of an audio one, but im gonna post it here because i think ill get better results.

how would i go about re wiring my front door speakers? do i have to pull of that rubber piece between the door and the chasis that all of the wires are in and run it through their? or how ?
because they are currently ran off of the amp in my trunk but they were wired by the previous owner, and i want to run them off of my reciever instead

thanks, and sorry for posting here, but you guys seem to be really helpful lol

Default You want to run totally new wires?

For the head units built-in amp? Generally external amps are better than the built in ones, so consider if taking the door speakers off the amp in the trunk (whatever it is) is really the best thing to do.

Anyway you just pull new wires through the conduit between the car and door, and hook them up as desired.

Default Well, yes. The only way to get the wires to the door speakers (regardless of where they are)

is through the boot in the door. If you find it hard to accomplish, get a fish tape. Unless I'm missing something, that should be very apparent. Just cause Snoop Dog does it, doesn't mean you have to too.

Default I just did it, it's a bit of a suffer-fest but you'll manage. You have to route them through...

the rubber accordian door boots, under the large plastic kick panels and down under the sills if your amps are in the back. Use a coathanger to get the wires through the mess of wires under the dash area by the doors. This is a PITA job but you'll be fine unless you're locked in the trunk during the procedure...

Default Good advice, but he wants the deck to push the speakers not the amp

Just look @ your instructions for the right connections & run the wires under the dash and through the accordian to the door. For $2.99 you can find a cheap fish tape ( a spooled thin cable used by electricians to route wire through pre-existing structures)this cable is flexable and alot easier than a coat hanger.

Default how..

alright thanks, thats how i thought you did it but i just wanted to make sure,im changeing my system so that all four speakers run off of my reciever and im going to make my amp, purely for my new woofers

but i think i'll get better bass(bump) if i remove the ski bag in between the rear seats and ill put a metal gaurd over the hole so that it acts as sort of a port hole to the trunk

but how do you remove the ski bag?

i thought it said in my manual, but i couldnt find it

thanks
