when accelerating my car kinda feels like its running out of gas. like it studders. i tried to figure out if it was when the car was at a certain rpm, or speed, but it happens at any speed, but the rpms are usually low, and about to down shift, to make it up a hill or something. im getting my plugs and fuel filter changed, so maybe that will make a difference. ive also been putting in techron injector cleaner, which help for a little. it shouldn't be the fuel pump, because i just got a brand new one put in 2 months ago, plus those usually just completely die. and this has ben happening for a while now. any help would be great, and hopefully new plugs and filter will do the trick. thanks,
Andrew

This car is a slug! in summer with the air conditioning on, I cannot feel any kind of acceleration!!!
You have done many things to restore the power, but check your air filter. I usually use my vacuum cleaner (with its long narrow nozzle) to reach in between the ribs and clean them every 5k. Or just replace it if it is more than 20 - 25k.
I usually drop the car in the dealer for service (still has that CPO warranty) and drive new A6 and A4s. When I get back to this car here is the feeling:
- very smooth running
- softer
- smoother brakes, gas
- BUT a REAL SLUG!
Lets be fare. 2.8L, 172hp for a full size heavy German car 4WD is just not enough. Many cars blow me away in the streets everyday. Only chance that I have is a rainy day or a sharp turn. Otherwise absolutely no chance even against a mini van!
