Low Battery - Jump Start - Hazard warning lights permanently

My battery went low while I was away last week so I jump started it this morning. Since the jump start, my hazard warning lights are permanently on and not flashing. Hence indicators don't work etc.
What should I do?
Am I right in thinking that if I now disconnect the battery the car will have to 'learn' all over again? i.e. the revs bouncing at idle etc.
When I parked the car I had to take out the fuse to stop the lights draining the battery.
By the way, is it normal for the alarm to drain the battery when it is left on for a week without driving the car?
If you think the battery needs replacing, Should I get a big amp/hour model?
Any help much appreciated.

i dont know about the lights problems but cars with alarms will drain the battery over time but not in a week. when cars are shipped from germany they come with a solar charger that gets sticked to the window. to keep the car good to go.
