Default Massive coolant leak...

I went out to check on the oil, everything good, but I notice the coolant resevoir is nearly empty. It was full not even a week ago. Not good.

Everything looks dry, clean, no o-ring leaks... Oil dipstick looks fine, no foam on the oil cap either.

Under the car I notice this:

I'm thinking something is leaking from this location. One of the clamps or the bleeder. Any ideas?

Looks like the heatercore maybe sprung a leak?

Default With the picture you have provided it is hard to see exaclty where that coolant is coming from.

I can't tell if that coolant is dried up or what. It might be from when someone was burping the system through that blead screw. Either way, now that I think about it, i'm not sure the coolant would exit under the car there if it was leaking that bad. Maybe it's coming from another place behind the engine. We need more pics...

Default If you dump water in the area by the bleeder...

it leaks out in that area by the cats.

Default First thing to do is clean the engine compartment - there is so much dirt & debris that it's...

hard to tell where you have a leak.

Default cool, I guess I would inspect the heatorcore area. If all the clamps are snug

and none of the hoses are leaking then it looks like you will be performing an R&R on the heatercore soon;-(

Default I think I found the leak...

a leaky bleeder valve screw. Easy fix, but expensive! $65 for a small rubber hose.

Default Why not just replace with a plain piece of hose.

Im sure you've never used that bleeder anyway.
