Im still struggling with these lights. Am I suppose to cut the yellow wires in two and stip one end to go around the 4 prongs and the car wire into the but connector? I think I may have gotten the wrong wires. The yellow wires I have do not stay in the pink clip. I dont know what I'm doing wrong. I have done a lot of wiring on my car, so I dont want to pay some mechanic to do this where I know they will rip me off. Yellow wires go into the pink clip and secured first, then inserted into the headlight assembly? I think I have to cut the wires in half because there is no other way for the but connector to fit through the rubber grommet. I'm ok with the bulbs and the interior and tracing the wires, I just dont understand how these yellow lead wires are suppose to stay snug around the prongs. Thank you so very very much for all your help and time.

cut in the middle:

now you have 2. the metal end goes into te plastic harness.
See picture3. The pink piece should be sticking out. when you inserted all 3/4 wires into the harness, you would press the pink tab in, like you see in the picture..

Thank you mikesho...I got a very good sense of what the finished product looks like. I think I may have purchased one or two wrong parts, or maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Does the stripped end go into pink connector or the side with the aluminum connector? Maybe the wire is too small, because it slides out when I lock the clup just as easily as it went in. I used the part numbers you had given me back some time ago and ordered them off a website. Could I have gotten the wrong parts? The connector fits the headlight piece but the number on you pink connector is different from mine. Maybe this is a production # and not the part # itself though. Also, in the first picture I see some round metal piece on the inside of your connector as well as part of the copper wire from the inside of the yellow housing. I dont have this in my connector, they are all plastic. Could this be why the wires dont stay in? I order these parts from IMPEX:
4a0971966 (connector)
000979213 (wire/termi)
4a0941189 (rubber boot)
Did I make any ordering mistakes? Thanks, if all else fails i could bring it to a shop, but I like working on my car. It is relaxing and enjoyable. Have a great week or weekend if I dont hear from you.

Aluminum side of the wire goes into the connector. The stripped off part you will wire to he old wires.
If the aluminum side on the wire (female) actually matches with the male connectors of the headlamp, then you got the right part. If its too small, them they sent you the wrong part.
Plastic connector: When you are inserting the aluminum side of the wire, the clip should be out. once all the alum. connectors are inside, you click the pink clip in. If you pushed the alum connectors all the way into the plastic connector (harness), then this will lock the wires inside.
Thickness of wire doesnt matter. I got thick ones because the dealer didnt have the thinner ones. As long as they are as think as the factory wires, you're OK.
What you see in Picture 1 is the actual aluminum connectors locked inside the plastic harness. The aluminum connectors are clamped onto the copper wire, which is what you are seeing.

Should I bother calling them up and getting new ones or just place a new order? Also, did I have the correct part number for the wire? Did I have the wrong part number or did they send me the wrong parts? Thanks...I couldnt figure out what the problem was, but the wires you have are definetely different than the ones they shipped me. Thanks...Enjoy your weekend!!!
