Default More info on fuel injector cleaning...

A couple weeks ago I posted about fabulous results after my mechanic did a fuel injector cleaning service on my 100.

After further questioning, I found that he used a Bosch tool that plugs into the fuel system (like a Motorvac, but not quite). They run the car at idle through two bottles of Nissan fuel injector cleaner.

Pretty simple, but the car runs like the injectors are new now.

I talked to an Indie Lube station after reading your post. My car has the same symptoms that yours did, hesitation, shutters, etc. Although it isn't to bad it is annoying. Anyway he said they flush the injectors by connectiing lines to the vacuum hoses and flushing injector cleaner through them. He said it would cost me about $40, i am also going to have some Bosch platinum+4 plugs put in at the same time. Any thoughts if those are good or should i use the 3 wire NGK's?

IWell the NGK's are the OEM plug. I have been running the Bocsch 4+'s for a while. heres no noticable performance differene but i have never had the car misfire. I would go with the Bosch 4+
