Default Multi-Function coolant/water Temperature Sensor (4-wire to 3-wire)

The +12v is deleted on the newer style switch.
Do I splice this wire to another pin?
or, Is it just plug and play?

Audiworld Search function is not working for me.

Default There are actually two different types.

I learned that one the hard way when I ordered the four-pin only to find out I needed the three pin (d'oh). If you want, I'll give you my brand new four-pin sensor free of charge. Let me know and I'll send it. By the way, still enjoying that great jazz music on your site!

Default Re: There are actually two different types.

I know they don't make the 4 prong one anymore and the 3-wire supersedes the old. So according to the part # it should work.

I have a newer 3-wire sender in my 1988 90 5cyl that was originally 4-prong. There is electric tape on the wires at the plug thus me thinking it was spliced in some fashion.

Anyhow, Thanks so much for the kind offer! A free OE version sounds good to me. I'll email to give you something for time/shipping.

I'm curious nevertheless so I'm gunna' put in the 3-prong tonight and see what happens.
