My Auto Check system says there is a bulb out but there isnt. Has anyone else had this problem.
I've replaced the wiring harnesses, all the bulbs work. Its the headlight/taillight warning light and it comes on intermittently when I am going down the road or even parked. It does it in summer and winter. I thought it might be corrosion on the bulb connector checked all those and nope nothing. I was wondering if this was common, and whether or not I should replace the unit in the gauge cluster or start tracing wires.
Thanks for the help,

I had a brake/tail light that was dimmly lit and going bad, but would still light up. The bulb out
warning would come on intermittently for that. I would pull the bulbs (tails are really easy) and see if one looks bad.

My understanding is that the AutoCheck compares bulb resistance and
activates the warning light if the difference between bulb resistances isn't within a certain spec. I would replace both bulbs with new ones of the *proper* spec and see if that solves your problem.
Hint: most people are probably running the wrong bulbs. see the following thread.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6100/msgs/80550.phtml">Bulb Thread</a></li></ul>
