Hey. My '91 audi 100's power steering pump is creating frothy power steering fluid in the fluid reservoir. It creats more bubbles the faster the engine RPMs. This is creating a real problem because all of the liquid bubbles out of the container within minutes, especially if doing a lot of hard accelerations. You guys have any ideas? do I need a simple seal or is my pump bad?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I used Lucas Hydraulic System Mineral Oil.. with a green cap as it says in audi consumer manual. I was told by my mechanic that that was the right thing. I really hope its not the pump
Any ideas on the price of a used one?

It sounds as though your pump (or something on the suction side is pulling in air. If you are lucky, all it is a tightnig job or a bad hose connection.
