Need suspension advice

I have a 93 100 FWD. I've always thought it rode a little high, but I put 17s on it and now it looks downright silly. The gap is just way too big. I've also wanted to tighten up the suspension for quite a while. I'm not looking for anything radical, just an inch or so all the way around with some better performance.
I found springs from H&R and Vogtland that look like they'll do the job, and I've seen lots of love for the Koni shocks.
So, is one of those the right combo? Any brands I'm leaving out that I shouldn't be? Am I going to have problems with stuff like brake lines?
TIA

I run Eibach pro kit with Turbo Boges. 17 in wheels with 235/45/17 Kumhos (H rated). Runs great - no rubs - even with 4 people up and trunk full! PS. mine is a Q.

I'm replacing every bit of suspension except for front tie rods. I'm running 245/40 17's on 2001 S4 wheels with 5mm spacers.

Most shops had springs - including Eibach - for FWD. I like the look too - first thing I did to get rid of the gap!

bushings and control arms all around, I should be good. Are you running ECS's camber kit and modified upper spring perch? Heard that without, you chew through front tires.
