The above pic is the side by side comparison of led vs incandescent. The effect you get with the blinkers is really attention drawing but cannot be captured by a still camera. Left = led , right = regular
Here are some more pics i took and a look at the unit i am using to make the leds work in the tails..
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/23719/dscf0093.jpg"> These are the 2 61 led units that i used.. i got them from a friend who works at a trucking supply store.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/23719/dscf0094.jpg"> Close up shot
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/23719/dscf0099.jpg"> This is the shot of the running lights.. now they look dim because its daylight but at night they are really visable.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/23719/dscf0101.jpg"> This is a shot of the running lights on the right and the blinker on on the left.
Next up : rear foglights led conversion. With the dual brightness i can utilize them as additional running lights. Then wire the rear fog switch to actuate the "stop" light part and there you go.

Just wondering because the LED's have such a low voltage draw that they should trip the auto-check system and also cause the blinkers to flash really fast.

The board is already set to keep voltage at the required amt and it even has diodes to prevent feed back into the brake/ tailamp system.
