Default No heat in my C4 till 3000 RPM

As a follow-up dealer mentioned it might be the Wpump blades being broken. I can't imagine how the pump wouldn't blow out if the blades we out of balance. Well I'm about to pull the T-belt and do the entire job since I don't know when the last belt was done. This job is lot easier than the 4.2 motor. Oh well.

Default If the water pump impeller is plastic

it is common for them to lose fins. Also, Is the coolant full, that can also effect the heat.

Default I've noticed lukewarm heat at idle when it's really cold. With a fresh metal-bladed water pump.

This was waiting in a parking lot in ~10F temps. Had to rev to ~2k RPM to get a really hot blast of heat.

Default This is a time consuming PITA

Flap works fine as I tested it with Vag-Com
No air in line as I blead it off
Fluid if full FULL
Somesaid water pump
Today someone said partially blocked heater core.

So I ordered a new core and I know the job will suck but I'm tired of freezing. Next will be the TB and new water pump.

Default The heater core is a possibility. I replaced it on my S4 and the heat improved a lot.

The job is not terribly fun or quick but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
