some do's and don't s i have picked up while in the shop:
1.never use mobile one their oil actually hurts engine life why i don't know but we have had several oil related problems do to this oil.
2.use Ams oil synthetic it is the only oil we suggest at the shop and the only oil i have seen keep an engine from locking up after an oil pan leak my bosses race car blew the oil plug and he was able to pit and use the same engine next race.
3.Never Ever go beyond the suggested timing belt change point i just sent a rebuilt V.W. home after the belt lost its teeth after only 5,000 over due!
4.Bosh 4 electrode plugs foul out easily and so do the platinum series.
5.I suggest using bosh single twin or triple electrode plug also ngk makes a suitable plug.
6.Using German parts pays off in the end after market products from other places usually do not have the quality of German parts even light bulbs.

The high mileage mobile one has caused the most wear turns out I used to be extremely inclined to using mobile one until a year ago. i have seen 12 engines seize up while using this product.(not all Audi engines)

Of course, I maintain my cars regularly. Change oil & filter at reasonable intervals. Never follow the marketing hype that says you can run oil for 15,000 miles. Mobil 1 is not magic. It's just a good lubricant when used properly.

AMS OIL is magic or something as long as u use the filter and oil combo. but i dont want to mess with Mobil 1 oil again after the horrors i saw. I HOWEVER use their fuel i have noticed quality is good as far as the gasoline.
