My car leaks oil from a engine. I think it is leaking from head gasket. Any idea how much it will cost to fix it. Anybody else has same problem like mine?

When my second Audi (92 100s) had this same problem it was estimated to cost 900 bucks to fix. That was 5 years ago. Yes it is the head gasket that is leaking. The bitch is that if you don't fix it, oil can run down the back side of the engine and get involved in various belts and pully assemlies, causing THEM to slip and .... well, you get the idea.
Fix ASAP.

could be a number of things as simple as valve cover gaskets or more complicated like cam seals. how many miles? could also be front crank seal and belts are slinging it up to the top of the engine.
early on, (about 55k) i had a leak, but it was covered under audi asssured used car warranty. after many tries by dealer, it turned out to be oil pump, part of which is sandwiched between upper and lower oil pan. actual casting of oil pump was porous. glad they paid for that.

my indie has told me that if you are going to replace a head gasket on an audi that old with the mileage there you should go ahead and replace all of the seals and gaskets to prevent a pressure problem and has quoted me approx. 2K for that. of course he'll most likely do a full tranny service and a few other things for that price if i can help it!

There are numerous ways your 2.8 can leak oil. I suggest you go buy a little Gunk Engine Brite Degreaser. Remove the Shrouds and fo for it at the local car wash. Leave the motor running and be don't be stupid with the water!
I've replaced my Head Gaskets, Valley Pan Gasket (Twice)because of oil leaks. The most common oil lead on this motor is the Valley Pan under the Intake Manifold....3 hours and about $30 worth of Intake and Valley Pan Gaskets.
Good Luck
