Outside temp backlight - Radio Shack? - LED? - Cat. No.?....>>
There have been threads about various backlights, but I don't recall anything real specific about what to use for the outside temp backlight, unless I just missed it - if so, sorry :<((
I looked in the RS catalog, and don't see any 12V 50ma LED's. Is this lamp an LED, or incandescent? Clear or colored? Does anyone have the RS catalog number? I assume it has to be soldered in...true?
TIA

In the old days, this bulb was called a "grain of wheat bulb" . It is clear, with two single wire leads. I used 1 14 volt bulb, so that it would last longer. Radio shack does have it, but don't know the part number.

272-1092C is what I used, $1.49 for a 2 pk. 12V, 60mA, and same size as OEM
I meant to write an e-mail to Viktor (beep-beep) about it, since they don't require any drilling and are the EXACT match for the OEM bulbs (the ones he used were slightly larger). The backer says "#7219 Micro Lamps"
Hope this helps!
