Default Panasonic DIN CD connector - how to fool the head unit...

'Audidoo all!

I've got a Jap import 91 100 2.3E with a Panasonic ETY30M R/Cass head unit. I'd like to use the CD changer's RCA line inputs on the back to play an MP3 player.

In order to select CD, I have to fool the head into thinking there's a CD changer attached.

Anyone got any ideas on what pins you have to short to do this? A DIN diagram would be fabbo.

Or if you know who to ask...the NZ Panasonic & Audi dealers haven't a clue...

Cheers,

Mike

Default Even the people that make adaptors for a living don't have one.

Have a look, maybe there is something new since I looked.

PIE

A simple short connection will not work, need to send a serial data stream on the "DATA" wire.

I also looked at it - they use multiple voltage levels, so it is more complex, than "binary code"
