Is passenger outside mirror different from driver's mirror?

Is passenger outside mirror different from driver's mirror?
I just noticed that my passinger mirror is shorter than the driver's side mirror. The housing is actually a different size. Is this stock, or did someone replace a mirror with the wrong one? They both seem factory and they both work.
