When 12 volts is applied to the contacts it doesn't make that cliking noise it should be making! Is it possible to take this little guy apart and fix it rather than spend $95 for a new one? Or does anyone have a slightly used one they'd be willing to part with?

I bought a new purge valve and hope it will solve my problems with the EGR. I am however not that optimistic since the old valve seemed to work fine when I test it. When changing the valve I however noticed that in the L shaped rubber tube where the vacuum line from the EGR valve is connected to the purge valve there is a small metal aperture around 0.5 mm in diameter.
This was still open but a lot of debris was present. I think the function is to stop debris before entering the purge valve, better se if yours is clogged there.
