Default Radio cuts in and out. Suggestions??

For some reason, the radio signal seems to be cuttnig in and out on my Audi/Bose radio. It's some kind of problem with the antenna, or the connection. The sound will just disappear for a brief second and then come back again. Have any of you experienced a similar problem with your Audi radio?

Default The Bose radios don't last FORVER... could need a new head unit.

Audi has an exchange program... $115 or something I think, if it is the head unit that you need.

So, I can just go into the dealer ship and they will sell me a new one for $115?

Default I really have no way of telling you if your radio head unit is going bad or not...

But I do know that the dealers have an exchange program. You give them your old head unit, they give you a new one for $115 (I <b>think</b> that's how much they are. I may be wrong but it's somehting around there).

Have you pulled the radio and checked if the antenna connection is secure? Got the code?

Take the serial number to the dealer and they will look up the code.

I had same problem a couple of years ago. I did the $115 exchange and it worked like a charm. The replacement is not new, but re-conditioned. Something's going on w/ the units. They fail, replace, re-condition, re-sell. It's an evil plot. You'll probably get my old unit.
