Default radio deck

Ok so i searched the forum for a little and find out some information still have a question. I want to just upgrade my deck to something i can plug my ipod in and find the songs on the deck and such. I read that the front and rear OEM speakers dont work well with aftermarket heads or you have to rewire everything. My other question is my stock 10cd changer would i be able to just connect that to my new deck or depends on deck. Thanks

Default I recently installed a new head unit

that has iPod, USB, and CD capabilities (Alpine CDA-9886 from Crutchfield.com). The front and rear speakers work, albeit the rears are not that strong (they will probably be replaced). I don't have the Bose setup btw, so didn't have to deal with the amplifier issues. I don't have an iPod, so I'm not sure if the song titles show up or not on the display, but I would imagine they do. I just use my cheap MP3 player connected to the USB. Also the AM radio reception is kaput, even after I intalled a special amplified antenna adaptor (common problem with the aftermarket head units).
As far as the stock CD changer, I highly doubt the thing will work with anything but an Audi head unit. You may want to post your question in the Audio Forum for more information and answers.

Audio Forum
