Default Rear Differential Leak :( ....... more
Dealer says $379... luckily I got extended warranty from warranty by net and I will just have to wait 20 days and 500 mile to invoke this cost. The dealer said I could drive it for that much time.... Do you think it is OK?? any experience with this kind of leak?? there were no drops below the car... I had taken the car for a 14 point inspection which I got from the dealer for $14.95 as a coupon...

Probably the side seals....common problem. Not a big deal!!

Fairly common problem. Procedure is on here for the A8, very similar. $25 part, but $300+ labor

Because the seals leak :-) They've all done it since the early 80's!!
