Default question about recalls

I have moved to the US from overseas, and I dont what the deal is with recalls. Apparantly 1992 Audi 100S's need new rear amplifiers. Will Audi contact me, or should I contact the dealer? Will Audi pay for the work or do I have to?
Thanks
Zac

Default ??? Info is "As is"

Usually you need to call the dealer and schedule a check up with them. They may determine that your vehicle is not one of the ones covered by the recall.. The information contained is just informative to get the ball rolling so to speak.
