Default Removing passenger seat, need help.

I searched the archives but did not find much. I'm trying to remove passenger seat from my car, however I can not seem to find the screws and locking rod in order to slide the seat off the track. I have removed the plastic covers on the end of the track. Is there some interior trim that needs to be torn away? In the Bentley manual, diagram #72-134 illustrates the screw and locking rod.

Default Slide out the two plastic plates hiding the front bolts. Remove those bolts and the...

plastic stops in the back of the tracks. Then you can remove the seat by pushing it all the way back and out of the track. You do need to disconnect a lot of connectors for power stuff.

Default Slide the seat all the way back.

The two covers are on the floor under the seat.

No, just take out the track stops so the seat will move all the way back and out.

Not too much but I doubt you'll break anything.

Default Sometimes the carpet gets in the way.

I made a cut in my carpet about 1/2 inch long to make the seat slide back out of the tracks a little easier...and it goes back in easier now, too. The cut is at the rear of the metal track nearest the centerline of the car and covered by the plastic trim when it's all back together.

Double check for wires you didn't unplug.
