Default Repair manual

I've searched and it appears there are no Haynes or Chilton manuals for these cars, and the only manual available is the official Audi manual from Bentley Publishing. Is that right? If so, how is the CD version? I have the Bentley for my '95 Jetta and it's great, but I like having the book there with me while I'm working (the pages are all covered with grease <g&gt. If I save some bucks and get the CD version, it it identical to the printed version? Can I just print out the pages I need when doing something and have it be just like having the manual?

Default Re: Repair manual

The book version is better, but the CD version is workable. An added benefit of the CD is you won't get dirty fingermarks on the pages.

The actual book is fairly expensive, but you can find them on ebay once in a while. You can also find the CD version, but it may not be legal. I have a regular Bently CD and they upgraded it to me for free when a new version was available.

Default The Bentley hardcopy manual is a three volume set, runs ~$200 on eBay when you can find one....

I have the 3-volume set and I find it better to use than the CD version, which I have for my wife's VW Passat (I also have the hardcopy version for the Passat).

But are the pages all the same on the CD version?

Default Yes, but you have to perform a search to located the specific section you looking for rather than...

just flipping the pages. The CD version also means when you need to look at another section while working on the car, you have to run back to your PC, search, and then print out the appropriate pages. IMHO, it is just a PITA rather than just having the book laying next to you while you work on the car.
