Request for part numbers for fuel lines (includes some old recall info)
Are the part numbers for the fuel line downstream of the fuel filter different for 1992 and 1993 100 nonQ V6 models? (fuel line between the filter and fuel rail)
Third dealer I spoke with was finally able to tell me the fuel line recall applied to the 1993+ models and NOT the 1992 models.
Edit: The NHSTA website indicates the recall DID include the 1992 models...interesting.

I repaired mine...
I purchased some Fuel Injection fuel line and some Fuel Injection hose clamps (the kind with a screw). The first clamps that I purchased from Pep Boys were crap so I dug around my junk drawer and found some good clamps that I had pulled off of various German cars. The problem with the ones from Pep Boys is that the screw strips out too easily.
I cut off the old braided hoses and the crimps that held them using sheet metal shears. I did this over a year ago and there has not been any leaks since.
I got the idea from when I replaced the 8 short hoses that connected the fuel injectors to the fuel rail on my Porsche 928.
The key for this approach to work is finding some good fuel injection hose clamps. The black lines don't look as good as the braided steel but the braided steel lines have always had a tendency to leak for some reason. Make sure that the hose that you use is also Fuel Injection hose and not regular fuel hose.
