Well, leave the right mirror adjust button pushed in, and go in and out of reverse 20 times

And see if every time you move into reverse, if the mirror dips. When it does dip....with the parking brake pulled on tight....get out and see if the reverse lights are on.

Thanks! I will try it in the evening with the back of the car facing a wall...

so that I can see in the rear mirror when the reverse light turns on.

I will first warm up the engine so that the transmission warms too (as it is noisy while cold, something I hope to fix with an ATF flush).

I will post the results this evening.

The reverse light didn't turn on even once and the mirror works like a charm

While the engine was running and the right mirror moving in some of the four directions I was shifting from P to R or From N to R. I tried it at least 30-40 times. The white light didn't appear at all.
Does this eliminate the multifunction switch as an option?
