Rotors Size
Can anyone tell me what rotors go on Audi A6 12V Wagon 1998 ?
The choices on Autohausaz are "vented" for Front rotors and "vented/solid" for "rear"...is there a particular size and make I look for thanks....
Last but not least where do I look for the chassis number on the car
Here is autohaus link

Just hit which ever rotors you are doing. If front, click on that, They have the size. Usually
just the fronts are vented, for more cooling since they do 75% of the braking. The sizes for the car are the same. Only difference is whether they are slotted or not.
As for chasis number, I don't recall hearing the phrase, it is probably the VIN which starts WAU...

Front stock are 288mm, and rears are 245mm - those are correct.
You may already know, but all fronts are vented. People tend to think cross drilled when they hear vented, but normal vented discs mean they are vented in between each side/braking surface of the disc. Rears are solid as they don't do as much work and don't need the heat dissapation.
You only need the stock versions unless you really want to pay double for cross-drilled. Unless you are autocrossing or drive very fast and brake hard and short often, there is absolutely no need to get cross-drilled or slotted. Stock discs work well and last a very long time.
Lastly, if you need these quick and live in the northeast, germanautoparts.com may be a good place. I looked and their prices and they are slightly higher for the stock rotors (~$22 total for all 4), but they ship immediately and you will get them in one day via UPS Ground. AutohausAZ is great on prices, but many people experience slow shipping.
