Default Sunroof drain holes

1993 Audi 100 cs

After a couple of inches of rain fell in my area, when I put my car into reverse and backed up a rush of water came pouring into the cabin from the back of the sunroof. When I drove forward another rush of water came inside through the front of the sunroof. After opening the sunroof and examining the space between the interior and exterior of the car I noticed two holes, one in the front left and front right. ARE THESE HOLES DESIGNED TO DRAIN SMALL AMOUNTS WATER?

So those holes are designed to drain water, any idea on how to clean them?

I have the same problem in my 92 100s and am also interested in how to access the drain for cleaning. I just looked over the tech article that goes through how to clean on an A4. Hope you don't mind me watching for a reply with details.

Default Using a long, thin wire, run the wire up from the lower end to the upper end...

The front water drain tubes run down the A pillar to the inside of the front door jam (open the front door and you should see the end of the tube). There also two rear water drain tubes (L & R) that run down the B pillars. From my ETKA, the drain tubes are 1790 mm (70 inches) in length.

Hi,
The low end of each drin (F, H) is made of a rubber. This rubber can be stopped by dried mud.
Grip several times rubber with your fingers to reduce the mud dried in dust which will fall outside.
