Sunroom acting strangly
My sunroof started to malfunction. Every time the switch is turned either to the left or right, the roof flips up, then down again. Even moving the switch one detent causes it to flip up and back down again. It never slides back. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem .
open up the plastic cover where the switch and light are, check if the motor is lose , 3 bolts holding the motor may get lose and cause the motor to slip (you would really hear this one it makes a laud cliking noise). the second major prioblem with the sunroof is the switch .turn the cover around and dissconnect the switch harness from the motor . you will be able to open the two way rotary switch by pressing each side . when you get the swith open clean out the contacts with alcohol and gently bend the contacts up on the other side , you should be fine .

I'm having problems with my living room, but the kitchen's still OK....<g>
Sorry, I couldn't resist. As coincidence would have it, I just came in from working on the sunroof on my Jetta. What a PITA.
